1. Omigod - I just saw that show in New York

on Saturday.

That show was hysterical.

On exit from the theatre I actually heard someone say the following:

"Do they have possums in Australia?"

Strange but true - everyone that was picked on in the audience was from Arkansas.

2. I saw her show before this one and I loved when she said at the end --

"I never get too down because I always remember that I have the ability to laugh at the misfortunes of others!"

Also, near the theate where the show was, there is this huge hideous senior citizen center up on a hill and she said, "Oh my, what an architectural TREASURE that building is to your lovely city!"

3. It is a hoot, isn't it?

Did she throw her gladioli to the audience?

4. Yes

Almost everyone in the lower half and many in the balcony had one when she was done and she had everyone wave them during her closing song.

She had some pretty good jokes about Bush

"I gave Mr. Bush an Atlas as a gift. He was very pleased and kept flipping through it looking at all the pretty pictures"

"But he told me he had a problem with it. He couldn't find Overseas in the index." :rofl:

"He said he asked Laura but she said to look under Abroad"

Sorry, didn't do it justice but I laughed my ass off at those.

5. My two favorite bits:

Dame Edna (to Doris in the audience): Doris...hello Doris. And where do you live?
Doris: New Jersey.
Dame Edna: New Jersey, how wonderful! And do you have a lovely home there in New Jersey, Doris?
Doris: Yes.
Dame Edna: And what color is your home, Doris?
Doris: Beige.
Dame Edna: Beige! I haven't thought of beige in years. It's nice to know that it's alive and well in New Jersey.

And then to Susan in the audience:

Dame Edna: And where are you from, dear?
Susan: New Orleans.
Dame Edna: Oh, New Orleans, how wonderful! And what do you do there in New Orleans, Susan?
Susan: Well....um.....uh.....
Dame Edna: Oh dear, I didn't realize that I'd be wrestling with the intelligentsia of New Orleans tonight.
