Jimmy Carter not allowed to be part of the US Contingency to attend
Pope's funeral? Not enough room on the plane?

This poor guy is being snubbed and deserves more than any of them to be in attendance.
After all, he was the first sitting President to have a Pope visit the White House. And he seems to be the only ex-President to avidly work for those who are in need.

What's wrong with this picture?

:grr:

5. My letter to the LA Times ..... we'll see if they print it.
LA Times <letters@latimes.com>

Isn't it ironic that the White House allows Condi Rice a to join the U.S. delegation to the funeral of Pope John Paul and doesn't "have room" for former President and Nobel Peace Prize winner Jimmy Carter?

The Holy Father fought for peace, while Dr. Rice lied for war.

11. Pickles could have stayed home and Pres. Carter should be in that spot.
At least that's my opinion.

13. And why exactly does Daddy Bush need to go along?
Is Dubya still too scared to ride on a plane without his pa holdin' his hand?

Why, for that matter, should Clinton go along? Not exactly a model of moral rectitude, is he?

Speaking of which, why is Shrub going? Oh wait, he's the "President."

Never mind.
