I am really fucking fortunate.
I know that sometimes I don't play it. After all, with cynicism and snarkiness being two of my most admirable (read: least offensive) qualities, it's sometimes tough to admit publicly just how lucky I am.

But I wouldn't trade my life for anyone's.

4. You are fortunate to have such a damn fine avatar.
You and I have something in common, my friend: we both have women who love us who are way out of our league. I don't know what, but we're obviously doing something right. :)

2. Well. Let's hear the reasons why you are so fortunate. :^) Me,
I have a beautiful family, comfy trailer that doesn't leak, food on the table, & am allowed to bum around the house because hubby is willing to be the breadwinner.

9. There are many.
I'll be going home soon (home in my heart, anyway). I have food, clothing, and shelter for my family -- the most wonderful family anyone could ever imagine. I have friends I would die for, and who would do the same for me.

I have more than anyone could ever need.

Edited on Wed Apr-06-05 09:27 AM by terrya
I certainly don't mean "that's nice" in a snide sort of way. I mean it is nice. It's good for you...and all of us...to occasionally take the time to appreciate how fortunate we are. Be it that special someone in your life or your friends or your good health.

And I know you well enough to know that you have a damned fine life indeed. :-)

Shit, now I put "Spirit in the Sky" in my head. I guess I'm not so lucky after all. :P

Your friendship is DEFINITELY one of the things for which I feel fortunate.

19. It really is important to remind ourselves from time to time.
Especially when other parts of our lives seem shitty, it's critical to remember what we do have.

28. I'm lucky too.
After years of all sorts of academic and relationship screw-ups, I have an incredible husband who adores me (and it is returned 100-fold), a beautiful home, a great dog, and a psychotic cat.

And my health (which tried to jump the shark 2 weeks ago) has returned (and I was fortunate enough to have health insurance when it failed for a moment).

Plus, I'm buds with Hedges and terry! :hi:
I'm a lucky gal.
