1) The notion that me being a liberal and a Christian is impossible.

2) The idea that I am somehow a traitor to my country.

3) That loving peace is somehow a sickness. (What the--?!)

4) Loving peace means I hate people in the miltary. (Yeah. I hate my dad, my cousins, my grandfathers etc etc)


Also, in my case, there are stereotypes about being a Green that make me nuts. (also apply to liberals in general, from a neocon nutcases' pov)

1) Yes, I have hugged trees, but I am about WAY more than being judicious in our use of the envirnoment.

2) No, I am not a vegan or vegetarian, though I completely respect that choice.


On the other hand, yeah.. I do like me a nice pair of birks and wear tie-dye. But hey, that's not the province of only liberals any more.

God, I'm as left-to-center as I can be without being a socialist, and I shower two-to-three times a day. On top of that, I go through unhealthy amounts of underarm deodorant and body spray.

Especially 1&3. Being on the side of peace is more justification that you are a Christian.

All of them are good, I really like the point made in 4, because I know many folks in the military and have a lot of respect for them.

16. The funny thing about the liberal stereotype is...

that they assume we're either:

a) dirty, broke, free-loading hippies who don't bathe
or

b)rich, elitist, pointyhead city-types who I'm assuming bathe regularly

That seems like a pretty broad spectrum of people (and cleanliness) if you ask me.
