I have an inside/outside cat who comes inside to use the litterbox. She rarely leaves my porch or back yard - and she can't fly so she has problems catching birds.
She does catch rats though. I'd rather have a rat carcass littering my beautiful yard than a rat litter.
13. My spayed, collared cat stays "near" the house
that's good enough. Fortunately most of my neighbors are neighbors. If there was a problem with my cat being destructive they would say something and I'd take pains to restrict her.
If I just had a pissy ass neighbor who had a bug up his ass about cats or about harrassing me by disappearing my cat, someone would get hurt.
