5. Good choice....from "Presence"
Keith Richards called Page "the most overworked guitar player in rock" after he heard it.

Hard to disagree.

3. I voted "In The Evening"
Just because no one ever seems to appreciate "In Through The Out Door".

That was an amazing album. Shows the direction the band was taking when Bonzo died. One side rocks, the other is pure balladry and art-rock.

11. Of that list I'd say "Misty Mountain Hop"
But the best songs aren't even listed like "Ramble On", "What is and What Should Never Be", "Dazed & Confused" and a host of other amazing songs. This is more of a poll which would be "Of Redqueen's favorite LZ songs which is your favorite"

Thank you for not including Stairway to Heaven & Rock and Roll. I hate those songs!

Not on the options but, hands down the best Zep tune in my opinion. I have some great but, fuzzy memories associated with that song!

"Got A Whole Lotta Love! Guitar Squeal"

Got to put n a little plug for legalization while I'm here:

17. I just saw Plant do that in Austin last month
He closed the concert with that song and I was shocked I tell ya. There are just some LZ songs that you would think couldn't be done unless you have both Page & Plant on stage since Jimmy's guitar playing is as equal if not stronger than Plant's vocals. But Plant has a new album & band coming out and they're really good. They did a great version of Whole Lotta Love that almost was as good as what it would be had Jimmy Page been there.

I also saw WLL when Page/Plant did their first tour together.

16. The Rain Song ~ Houses O The Holy
This is the springtime of my loving - the second season I am to know
You are the sunlight in my growing - so little warmth I've felt before.
It isn't hard to feel me glowing - I watched the fire that grew so low.

It is the summer of my smiles - flee from me Keepers of the Gloom.
Speak to me only with your eyes. It is to you I give this tune.
Ain't so hard to recognize - These things are clear to all from
time to time.

Talk Talk - I've felt the coldness of my winter
I never thought it would ever go. I cursed the gloom that set upon us...
But I know that I love you so

These are the seasons of emotion and like the winds they rise and fall
This is the wonder of devotion - I see the torch we all must hold.
This is the mystery of the quotient - Upon us all a little rain must fall.

:headbang:

29. You always get someone in the crowd screaming for Stairway
and you know they aren't going to sing it. And thanks to that damn Cadillac commercial :grr:

Actually, I saw Page do Stairway to Heaven for his first solo tour back in 1989. He had Jason Bonham doing the drums. Out of respect for Robert Plant, Page does the entire song instrumental only. But in the beginning of the song, Jason Bonham actually directed the audience into singing along with the song.
