Both teams deserve to be in there--four-well matched teamns and it could have gone either way in both series.

However, the Yankees are a business, used to winning. They expect it.

From what I've heard from Florida people is that the Marlins have few fans because the gutting of the team after the 97 series left people with a bad feeling. Not many people down there really care.

BUT if the Cubs or our beloved Red Sox had made it and won--there would have been pure, unaffected joy released by millions!

THAT would have been worth watching!

1. You can't blame them...
for winning, both teams played very well. But you're right--it will be a far less inspired series than a Cubs-Sox matchup would have been. I'm rooting for the Marlins simply because I'm tired of big money always prevailing in professional sports, especially baseball.

3. I disagree
Cleary, the Yankees should have realized how many people they were disappointing and found a way to lose.

2. You're absolutely correct!
It would have been a series for the ages.

4. I hope that BOTH teams lose!!!

As a Bostonian, I loathe and despise the Yankess as a Nazi-like baseball machine.

And the Marlins are a fake, corporate, expansion team.

The Cubs and the Sox are REAL baseball teams.

I predict that this will be the least watched Series in baseball history.

The Cubs vs. Sox would have set new records.

Oh well....its probably all a part of the decline and fall of our once-great nation.

5. Your team lost. You should be used to it. Quit whining. Pathetic.

6. Please do not project
An unbiased observer would clearly see that this is not a whining post--you can't disagree with the facts I have placed forth.

Please read posts before your reply to them. Thank you.

7. umm...huh?
First of all, I wasn't replying to you (follow the little lines.. it's quite clear). Second, your post is entirely subjective and contains no facts- just your opinion- so i CAN and DO disagree with your statements.

Get a clue before you reply to a post that had nothing to do with you. Also, learn the distinction between fact and opinion. Thanks.

8. I don't really care about this World Series, either.
If either the Cubs or the Sox would have made it, I would have tuned in to the games. But now I don't really care.

10. I am curious to see what the ratings will be for the WS
Probably will be lowest rated ever. I would not be at all surprised.

Oh well. There is still college football. And hockey if you're so inclined.

9. The Marlins will win
I'm calling it right here right now. They are the best team in baseball right now. The Yankees have played games on 4 straight days and 5 in 6 days. Tomorrow will be their 6th in 8 days.
