I wouldn't be surprised if the diamond has been in the Royal family for a couple of hundred years and is in some way historically important. I know that doesn't matter to all of you Camilla-haters out there, and even less to the diamond-haters, but your opinion doesn't count. Sorry.

And yes, she's not as lovely to look at as Diana was, but then she's about 15 years older than Diana, who died at age 36 in any event. Remember that Charles met her when they were both what? about 20 years old, and Camilla was rather pretty back then. Middle age is not kind to many of us.

And then I think that if only Charles hadn't been so unwilling to commit to Camilla back then, they'd have married and actually lived happily ever after.

Personally, I wish them the best as I would any other couple getting married.
