Once On This Island . A musical
Some years ago while babysitting my grand daughter Cashel she choked on a piece of apple I had foolishly given her. Oh what a terrible thing I did. But she survived.

Last Thursday night I dragged my failing body to the high school where Cashel was to appear in a musical.

As the musical sang on I wondered, "Where is my Cashel?" Then it struck me she is that gorgeous woman up there; 'Ti Moune'. Singing? Dancing? Strutting? Acting?

She can do that? My little grand daughter can do that?

How could that be?

I wonder.

Grampa 180.

2. Cashel is a lovely name...
and a lovely place in Ireland.

Sounds like she has a proud Grampa.

3. Stunning it is when they grow up!
No grands yet but watching my grown boys perform always stuns me and makes me swell with pride.

Did you get my PM? I have not had the time to sit and read your libretto yet, I am working on 2 campaigns right now but we will be done after Tuesday and I will sit down with a quiet mind and read it. Now, well, I am running from my job to phone banks to door to door to my job and then home for sleep. Occasional checks in to DU are keeping me up to date.

I love when you write these little pieces from your life. They touch me and I am glad I caught this one.

Have a wonderful day. :loveya:

6. You should be preening!
Darn, Ed. Those were great photos!

I am working for a city councilwoman who is running for re election. She has an uphill battle because the campaign against her has been made all about the fact that she is openly gay, she is the woman that has been in the national spotlight who Jael Phelps ran against. I really like this woman and she has done a phenomenal job but now it is not about that so I have been working as much as I can to help her out. I am also working on the Kansans For Fairness campaign to defeat the Marriage Amendment here in Kansas. All of this after being broken in with the Phelps initiative and I am primed and pumped but totally exhausted. It feels good though to work for something you believe in. If by some fortune we win both of these I will be the most obnoxious person on the planet for a while. Evey single vote has been an uphill battle because we are outspent and they have all the media. That is something we are getting used to but have had no luck figuring out how to break through except with enormous amounts of man hours on the phones and on foot.

Cashel sounds like a real beauty, takes after her Granpa huh? Seriously. :)

8. I can't wait to have a real
clear moment to sit and read it. I want to imagine it and not be bothered with outside thoughts. It is the treat at the end of a busy month. I read the first part here and thought it was really great. Some people just have that knack of bringing you to the very spot they are writing about. I feel like I know him from reading his stories. How are you Jitterbug? I have not seen you around too often but then I am hit and miss so I probably missed you.

13. This really is the
place to "cybermeet" the very best people. I hope once you get moved you can post more, I have missed you being around.

Is your new house going to be close to your family? If so that sounds wonderful. Don't worry, Jebby will be out soon enough and I have faith (?) that the good people of Florida will do much better next time.

Thanks, we are doing our very best. Enough so that I just got a GOTV call from them 30 minutes before I leave to go phone bank for them. Yup, we will annoy everyone into voting. :)
