There he was, the nasty little (about 40 lbs) critter, snapping, snarling & spitting @ me. Too bad for him he was secured inside the trap. He'll be taking a one way ride this AM. I'll release him somewhere over in the CA. Delta where he'll have to change his dietary habits.

2. I don't know how far that is from you,

but dump a little hair dye on his back, so if he finds his way back to your home, you'll recognize him. My dad used to do this with the raccoons and squirrels that he'd trap and relocate, and we were astounded at how many miles they'd travel to get back to our house!

We periodically get possums rummaging through our barn. They're a lot easier to trap! Just poke them with a stick so they curl up, and then roll them into a box or trash can for the little drive down the road. I've relocated probably a dozen possums this way.
