Carnivale' action needed! Blockbuster won't rent it out!.

Daniel Knauf, the creator, writer and producer of the fine HBO Series, Carnivale has asked for some help. Blockbster Video won't rent the DVD's out so that folks who don't get HBO can see the fine series, Here is his request for email and letter writing.

Lets tell Blockbuster how we disagree with their behavior or just ask that they place the DVD into the rental section.

I know. I hope so, anyway. One thing that really hurt us is the fact
that Blockbuster refused to carry the show for rental in their stores.
They sell it, of course, but they don't rent it.

I don't know whether the decision was economic or aesthetic, but they
carry all the HBO series EXCEPT for Carnivale. The loss of such an
important distributor really knocked our DVD numbers down and, in
turn, deprived us of an opportunity for huge number of potential
viewers to play "catch-up."

I guess they figure the demand isn't there. I think they're wrong.

So if you've already written your snail-mail to HBO, and you want some
variety in your recipients, direct one to Blockbuster. Call your

1. Why don't you go to a different video store?

also, weird that they would not rent it.. i know the Rogers video by my house has them.

2. I bought the DVD for Season One

and made video copy of Season Two. The problem is, it takes time to review them thus sharing is a slow, slow process. I have several friends who are on a budget and can't afford the purchase of the Season One. They are willing to subscribe to HBO for future programming but they need to catch-up. Carnivale' is a series that has many clues in each episode which builds and builds. You need to watch from the beginning.

No other store to my knowledge carries the rentals. Blockbuster sells them so whats the big deal with rental money??????
