Has anyone reading this never been to the United States?
I know there are quite a few DUers who post from other countries, but my guess is that almost all of them have traveled to the US at one time. Is there anyone who has not been here, and if so, do you plan to keep it that way, or when will be your visit?

3. UK here-
I've been to the US and it was great, but it was a different US. Haven't been to the current one and I have to say that, although I know that there are millions of you great people there, it's not somewhere I'd want to bring my kids to at the moment. So much hate in the air.

Please note - this is not an anti-American P.O.V. - I'm sure you all know what I mean, because you have to live with it every day.

Having said that, I'm sure my kids would love to see America, even if they do laugh every time they see the Chimp on TV.

14. I felt the same way after a trip to England and Scotland in 2001, BEFORE
9/11, although Chimpy had been in office for a few months. I just didn't want to come back to my native country. Our society has been unraveling for a while now.

I have never gone to the US and I don't see my ass going there any time soon. Before I go to the US there has to be not only a regime change, but an entire political shift of the entire country. Shit, the US is so far right it's meeting China coming from the other direction. And so damn conservative as to make the Vatican seem liberal.

9. Plwease do, but not right now
While the dollar is in an all-time low, the Krona is higher than ever and the government, having studied the George Bush Jr. Guide to National Economics, steadily deny that there is any problem. Thank god the National Reserve isn't directly controlled by the government so they at least try to keep the economy from going straight to Nifelheim (Asatruar hell)

11. Thanks
That has been a long held belief of mine. America needs some serious help when it comes to political slant. Many people in today's America make the puritans look rather like party animals.

12. I alwasy think it's funny
when people talk about the Democratic Party as a left-wing party. The typical Democratic senator would find it hard to join even a far-right wing party in Europe. A typical republican senator could only join a facist or neo-nazi party, if he was lucky.

13. We could only hope that the Democratic Party
was left wing. The Republicans aren't even from this planet. Europe could really capitalize on its tourism industry right now. Many Americans would love the break from the heavy propoganda for a while. :)

8. Not been yet.
It's on my list, but it comes below half of Europe and India/Indo-China.

As you may guess from my avatar I am a Brit, specifically from Merry England.
