9. There's always a trip down to the dam ....

You can take tours through the dam, or you USED to be able to ... before 9/11. We traveled through there shortly after 9/11 and it was a major cluster getting over the dam because they were stopping cars right and left to check for terr'ists. Should be quieter there now, though.

3. Best restaurant in town is off the strip.

The service there is better than any restaurant I've been to, and I've had the privilege of going to some highly rated places. You won't be disappointed.

4. Not a sight, but we went to a great improv comedy show at the Alladin(?)

It was inexpensive and they were very talented.

5. Dine at Pampelmouse

A tiny French Restaurant on E- Sahara just a bit off the strip.

A bit pricey but well worth it. Resevations a must.

6. Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mohave too

Red Rock Canyon is stunning. The land around Lake Mohave right now is blooming heavily too-cross the dam and go 10-15 miles south, and it's the first paved road on the right.

If you want some good eats, try the evening buffet at Bally's - It's awesome.
