What the heck is with this mushy mood?
I see my kids and I want to eat them with a spoon, they're so cute. MrG walks in the door, and I pounce on him. I read some of your posts here and I get all goofy, lovey, life is great, teary eyed.

No. I'm not PMSing.
No. I'm not taking pain killers anymore.
No. I don't want anything.

:hi: Really, just odd. The kids have been rampaging all week and all I can do is hug them and ruffle their hair. Perhaps a new phase in my life? Somehow, I doubt it.

:hi:

10. It is spring, but the back yard is a mud pit and it's not even bothering
me this year. :hi:

2. You have eaten too much X.
Find a quiet place to lie down, and put a cold, damp cloth on your forehead. Make sure you have someone with you to talk to you and keep you awake -- now is not the time to fall asleep.

You should be okay in 8-12 hours. However, if you notice that your heart stops beating, you should consult a physician.

4. Come over and spread some of that cheer here.
I have a headache and my children have been fighting with each other all morning.

8. You got it.
I actually took them to the mall the other day...and they behaved....like humans even. ;) I hope your headache gets better. If I can't spread the cheer, I can give you some Vicodin.

5. Could it be TS' death mixed with spring's life?
I can honestly say that her public ordeal has caused me to look at the gift of my own life with renewed thankfulness. That, plus the beauty of spring's new bounty, brings forth powerful emotions. Spring always makes me glad to be alive, and when contrasted with the very public death of Terry, which is so wrought with emotions from cynicism to angst to love (both appropriate and misguided), my emotions and my deep gratitude for the gift of my life appear to be in starker contrast on this day.

I don't know about your situation, but that's what has been happening to me. It happened once before, on 9/11, when I realized how many people left for work that morning perhaps never saying I love you to their S.O. or kissing beforehand -- and then they never returned. After 9/11, I make it a daily practice to kiss my wife in the mornings and tell her I love her, even if she is asleep (which is often the case). I do not want to take it for granted that I will return, the chance exists that I may not. After all, we are all living on borrowed time. As a friend says, live in the now. It's the only place anything is really happening. The past is gone, the future not yet here.

Enjoy your kids and your husband, MrsGrumpy.

7. Thank you js. Lately, I've been driving MrG nutty with all the (what I
like to call)S-mothering. For me, I think it was that nasty trouble in January that gave me a new appreciation for what I have, quirks and all. :hi:

11. In my life, I have found it is easy to be happy by just...
...being thankful for the basics. I woke up. I am breathing. That sort of thing. Even in dark times, I can be thankful for those, as they mean there will most likely be a next moment full of boundless opportunity that things will change for the better.

I wasn't always like this. I have had good teachers, people who have been generous with their own lives to help me find a path to peace. They saved my life.

It really is a wonderous experience, living!
