YEA!!
My dental cleaning appt. was just cancelled. The hygienist is not available today.

Now to put the agony off for a few more days.

Sigh.

1. Not Yea
If a dental office appt causes you that much trepidation, one or more of the following is true:

a) you don't take care of your teeth
b) you have a bad dentist

Do a good job on your teeth and you will be in and out of there in 15-20 minutes and take your original teeth with you to the grave.

3. Nah - just horrid memories from childhood past.
I do take care of my teeth - just feel very claustrophobic in that chair and can't wait to be racing out of there and back to the safety of my auto.

5. Not necessarily true. My mouth is over dry from medication. Even though
I apply flouride treatments nightly and see the dentist every six months for cleaning, brush three times a day, and have an awesome dentist....I get constant cavities (after a cavity free youth). Because my mouth is so dry, the fillings don't adhere and the pain of having them fall out is sheer agony. Sometimes going to the dentist just hurts. :hi:

2. The next time you're in the dentist chair....
..Scratch your scalp with your nails and ask the Hygienist:

Geez..What are those little things in your head that bite?
(She'll think..Oh my God..Lice??)

and then say: Oh..that's right ..they're called teeth.

Gets them every time! :)

8. Well, I'm not a spokesperson
but I am a huge fan of my sonicare toothbrush. My dentist is amazed every time I go in by how clean and tartar-free my teeth are. I kid you not.

Cleanings are a breeze--none of the scraping or questions about whether I'm flossing enough.:D
