Dammit Dammit Dammit
I have to get my butt into the dental chair in a couple of hours for routine cleaning. Hate it! Have a phobia about being in that chair and keep screaming in my head "Hurry UP" - "Let me GO!".

Aarrgghh.

But will treat myself to a steaming hot chai tea latte afterwards to calm the nerves.

End of rant.

Have the dentist do some root canals for the heck of it.

10. You're correct.
Somehow I always get those two movies mixed-up in my mind.
See what panic and fear can do??

OUCH!

6. My hygienist has a big comfy quilt in her chair, with a...
...full-length three-zone heat and massage mat underneath the quilt. It makes things rather bearable, especially when I bring the I-River and earbuds along for custom tunage.

Good vibes and good luck to you. It'll be over soon.

8. Waited THREE years to get a new dentist
after mine died - just because I hate it so much. Finally gave in and warned the new one they would probably have to take a jackhammer to the tartar. It took two sessions to get me back to square one. I left, promising to be a good little girl and to see them in six months. We'll see how well I do.

12. Be good to yourself and keep your appts. It will serve you well in
the long run. I go every 4 mo. Want to keep my teeth as long as possible, but always dread going.

11. How much does it cost anyhow?
I don't have any type of dental plan or whatever so I have to pay
full price. Costs me about 50 EUR ($70).

I hear dentistry is pretty expensive over there. :(

13. Yeah, then they start complaining about how you never floss...
Cleanings are often worse then fillings for me, because of the pain and no novacaine.
