58. yes but we're producers so it really isn't fair
Edited on Thu Mar-31-05 08:04 PM by amazona
I don't know why the British and Norwegians don't riot, but most of Europe does not produce oil, correct?

Here in Louisiana we've been screwed for years. In the 1970s oil crisis, when a great deal of the oil replacing the Saudi oil was coming from Louisiana, we weren't getting any of it and we were having tremendous lines and high prices. There is no reason for it. The people who live in the area of a resource and who pay the pollution costs in their health of exploiting the resource should pay a lower cost financially.

Fair is fair.

The question that springs to mind is: How many years would you give off your life for cheaper gas, because here in Louisiana we have a significantly lowered life expectancy. The LEs enjoyed in Europe are just a fantasy to us. We should receive something in return.

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.
