William Kristol Hit In Face With Pie During Speech At College

RICHMOND, Ind. -- Even a pie in the face couldn't silence conservative pundit William Kristol.

Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard and former chief of staff to Vice President Dan Quayle, was splattered by a student during a speech about U.S. foreign policy at Earlham College Tuesday.

Members of the audience jeered the student, then applauded as Kristol wiped the pie from his face and said, "Just let me finish this point," the Palladium-Item reported.

Kristol then finished his speech and took questions from the audience.

The student, who was not immediately identified, was suspended and could face expulsion following a disciplinary review, Earlham Provost Len Clark said Wednesday.

Clark also issued a written apology complimenting Kristol for his "graciousness."

Earlham is a private Quaker college of 1,200 students in Richmond, about 70 miles east of Indianapolis.

We know Kristol is only into sending people to war but never going himself. Maybe the kids knew that.He, Kristol, just is one of the people WHO makes money off these endless wars. The kids are the ones that die or leave a leg over seas.

there's the telling line imo. it'll take far more than a pie in the face to stop these slight rich lowery, kristol-esque 'pundits' from running amok. there's far too much ready compensation rolling their gooey little ball down the pike.

5. Good, he deserves it! Kristol is really creepy.

To me he always looks like he knows what he is doing is wrong and he just can't believe that people are buying his bullshit. I've seen it in other neocons too. I would almost call it guilt, but then I remember that you have to actually HAVE a conscience to have a guilty one. People like Kristol have no soul.
