4. WOW!
I saw her on tv accepting her Oscar for Monster and I don't remember her looking anything like that.

You're right, Monster is an AWESOME movie!

6. I'm heading across the pond next week
I assume you are somewhere in the UK by your avitar and the time you posted. This is our first trip to London in over 20 years. Just a short three days, but my wife and I are planning to get in as much "London" as we can. Any recommendations of things we should not miss. We plan to catch a show and visit a museum or two.

10. If it's good weather try the London Eye
Edited on Thu Mar-31-05 01:11 PM by tjwmason
A jolly large ferris wheel which gives splendid views across the city - as long as it is clear weather. It is just over Westminster Bridge, opposite the Houses of Parliament (nearest tube, Westminster).

Most of the museums are now free, there is a cluster in South Kensington (the Victoria & Albert, Natural History, and Science). Personally I adore the National Gallery (in Trafalgar Square - Charing Cross tube) which is pre-1900 art. The new Sainsbury Wing houses the renaissance collection - I could spend years walking round there. The British Museum has had some major changes recently (the British Library moved out giving it more space).

I think that the best thing about London is that whatever your taste there will be something to interest you there.

***On edit.

I do hope that you have a wonderful trip - my what an ignorant git I can be on first attempt.

11. Thanks
I'm sure we will have fun. I've been told about the eye before. We are staying in Kensington, so I will check out the museums you mentioned.

7. Did you ever see
that documentary on the real life "Monster"? You should rent it. After watching it, you have even more respect and admiration for Ms. Theron's performance.
