2. Just about the easiest question ever!
Who is the greatest third baseman to ever trot out onto the diamond?

I should get a bonus for providing such an easy to answer question.

20. How many continents on do you want to spread my shame?
You are from Pennsylvania. I helped you hit 1,000 and in doing so you broke my heart. While it pains me to HAVE to tell you, the greatest third baseman ever to play the game of baseball, period, end of sentence:

MICHAEL JACK SCHMIDT

Now you hang around as I approach 5K.

26. I am so sorry
:-( I am a soccer and Rugby man. But I am trying to get into baseball. The problem is that I haven't learned the art yet to watch it on TV. I LOVE to go to the stadium and I will stay till the last pitch (No matter what the score)

22. I really can tell how big he was
around here its rather worrisome with the water quality so I am usually a catch and release man. I am pretty simple and learned from my uncle who was never a complicated man when it came to fishing, Usually, I use worms, fish eggs some simple lures nothing to complicated or anything that a master fisherman would use. Usually I go after catfish in a stream I know is safe. I use minnows and have gotten some big ones (at least for around here) I got one once that was 8 pounds and looked like an old timer.

30. This sounds like bragging, but here I go
Beleive it or not, the salmon fishing around here is amazing. I have not got out this year yet, but usually the shore fishing this time of year is great for coho (4-6 lbs.) In Sept-Oct the Chinook run is good (however, a bit gamey so they have to be smoked). I went out in a charter last July and caught a bunch of Chinook 10-12 lbs.

But, to continue the bragging, I went on a charter off Purta Vallerta and caught a 30 lbs. yellowfin tuna. Cleaning it was a bit gory, but hey...

32. Salmon in that area
that is intresting. I would have never thought that you neck of the woods would have good salmon fishing. I have friend who keeps trying to lure me out to do some deep sea fishing. I have never done it but one of these days I am going to take him up on it.

33. There used to be a lot of lake trout around here
However in the 50s the lampry (an invasive species) came close to killing off the Lake Trout. The alewives (bait fish) ran wild to the point where they had to be swept off the beach every morning or else the beaches would stink too bad. The beaches still stank of dead fish, but, hey, Chicago still had the stockyards. Anyway, someone got the bright idea in the 60s of introducing salmon to eat all the alewives and it has worked. About 1 of 5 salmon you catch still has a lamprey mark (and they put anti-lampry poison in the lake nowadays) but it has really helped shorefishing in Chicago because they stock the salmon fingerlings in the harbors and they try to return like salmon return to their steams when native.

34. Around here its the water quality that is the problem
Not any type of invader fish. You have to be real careful which streams you pull the fish out of if you want to eat them. though a couple years back at one of the favorite fishing spot known as the "Projects" a series of artficial lakes some guy caught a pirahna which had been dumped into the lake.

23. I'm sure it is a great way to spend a day. However,
I already have at least one expensive way to relax and enjoy myself: Photography! I have a new digital camera that was a gift from my oldest daughter which I am still learning how to use...I also have a Nikon N60 that I love. So no more expensive toys for me!

:hi:

27. Zebco 202
About 10 bucks at a discount store. And a damn fine fishing rig and easy to use. Dig a few worms and away you go. Much cheaper than film. Plus you get to eat your recreation. (Unless you fish the rivers of Chicago which are completely f'n polluted).

29. In Chicago you don't need the rod
just a club to hit the fish as they start to walk out of the river after the chemicals in it have forced them to mutate and evolve.:bounce:

And, beleive it or not (and don't tell anyone) there are a lot of fish in the Chicago River except you can't eat them. Lake Michigan is very clean unless one is preggers.
