Does it seem like it's getting harder to make ends meet ?
Edited on Thu Mar-31-05 12:05 AM by Blue_Roses
And do creditors seem to be extremely greedy with lending? We have 2 car payments left and the damn thing will be paid off--finally--and they are calling with "reminder" calls of when the next payment is due-- right after we make a payment. :wtf: is up with this harassment...give me an effing break. I told them that this is not necessary and they say it's just a "courtesy" call...do they think we aren't going to pay the LAST 2 PAYMENTS...give me an effing break

5. that's gotta be it
there is no way we will ever do business with this particular company again--and they know it. Maybe they realize they've lost a customer. Who knows but it's annoying. I just hope they don't try to tack something on the last payment.:eyes:

8. I just paid 2.16 this afternoon.
I'll be sticking as close to home as possible and walking wherever possible.

2. Things are more expensive at the grocery store too.
I'm told it's because of gas prices. It costs more for the trucks to deliver the goods so that's passed onto the consumer. Not as many deals as I'm used to getting. And I got a measly 2 percent raise. That's totally not keeping up with the increased cost of things. So yeah, I'm feeling your pain. I'm getting some of the same 'reminders' from my creditors too, and I pay everything on time!

4. It's going to get even harder
The gas prices are just starting to make an impact. It's going to get much worse, and it will impact everything, as the effect of gas prices ripples throughout the system.
Just what Cheney was asking for in the 80's. Tighten up the screws on the working poor, and knock the legs out from under the middle class. Soon we'll be happy to get any crumbs they throw us.

6. I hear ya, Blue.
We are going through the same thing with the mortgage company. We have three more payments to go. We get called every month. It's annoying. And since I take everything much too personally, I think it's insulting.

And at age 51, I'm back at work. Which I'm not crazy about, but there you have it. Prices of everything here are going up, especially food and gas. Where's all the news coverage of the rising gas and food prices? Oh, that's right, I forgot-they have more important news stories to cover: the Jackson hearing, the Shiavo story, the latest outcast from "Survivor", the latest contestant fired on "The Apprentice", things are going great in the world's newest democracy-Iraq, Iran has nukes, etc.

10. That is why I am moving away from TV to the internet for my news.
Watch Good Morning America...it is all selling. Selling an idiology, then interviewing an actor who is schilling for his film, then you get the commercials which contain more selling, then some author who is hawking his book, and so on. I have found these shows to be unbearable after 9am.
In the morning, I want to watch NEWS, unbiased NEWS.
Every morning for over a year, I find myself turning off this crap.
As a result, I have found I can sleep in more.
