How different are you in "real life" from on DU?

Believe it or not I'm the same "nice" godless commie in RL as I am here , there's little that I wouldn't say in RL than I would here.

Then again I do filter in professional situations, not all but some.

But on the balance what you see here is what you get there.

Period.

I hardly ever call people out in an aggressive way here, just like in RL.

But when I do I mean it:-)

Are you a reflection of your "real life" persona, an accurate reflection, online?

BIG PS: I've always been open and clear about my opinions but to be frank: The last few years have really opened up my outright personal conflict impulses.

I speak up less often here and am less of a leader than I am in real life. I think I get my fill of that, and come here to relax and learn, mostly. I'm non-confrontational, I really dislike conflict, so I stay away from a lot of it around here.

The things is in real life they don't usually provoke me. We can discuss things and not reduce ourselves to throwing chairs, pulling hair and name calling when we don't agree. Here if I know it's going to turn into an episode of the Springer Show I usually avoid the topic. When I don't opt-out I usually make some smartass comment that is pretty much in character for me anyway.
