15. The brain freeze is bad,
so I try to premedicate with three or four shots of tequila and a couple of Darvocets.

Really, if you want to get to know more about Gabriel García Márquez you can start with his short stories. He has some wonderful ones.

I think I have a few of his - but they're more .. aspirational in that I keep WANTING to read them .. and keep skipping over to other things.

so -- which specific book should I start with?

28. Go to Amazon or whereever you buy books
and do a search for Collected Stories by Márquez. It is a collection of some of his short stories.

19. Don't Just Assume
Always say what you feel, and do what you think is good and right. If I knew that today would be the last time I'd see you, I would hug you tight and pray the Lord be the keeper of your soul. If I knew that this would be the last time you pass through this door, I'd embrace you, kiss you, and call you back for one more. If knew that this would be the last time I would hear your voice, I'd take hold of each word to be able to hear it over and over again. If I knew this is the last time I see you, I'd tell you I love you, and would not just assume foolishly that you know it already.

Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

27. True,
and I am struggling to become more rounded. I have even bought 33 languages on CD-ROM, now I must pick a couple. My wife can teach me Spanish, from the CDs I am leaning towards Japanese and Russian.

anything. I have tried to teach my wife Spanish but no to avail.
