Yea! I got my graduation gifts for my 4 best buddies in the mail today!

They don't read this board (despite my constant yapping about it), so I can post this. I wanted to order decorative lawyer shingles with our names on them, but couldn't find any online that were just right, so I ordered brass office door signs with our names on them as though we were our own little law firm. I put each person's name first, then mine, then the other two names in alphabetical order. These are followed by a line and then the words "Attorneys at Law." The "scales of justice" are also on each. I got one for myself, too, and the engravers messed up by omitting a comma after one name, but if they had to mess up, I'm glad it was on mine. I'm so excited to give them to my buds!

I still have my grandfather's shingle. His name was William G. Reid - so the shingle reads W.G.Reid. I hope someday to give it to a son, whom the wife and I have already decided would be William Reid Meyer - in keeping with the other side of my family's tradition of naming the first son with the father's first name as the child's middle name.
