I'd taped up the box really good before sending it to him because it looked flimsey. I also wrote in blocky letters as my handwriting is generally poor.

It hasn't shown up yet.

He says that from my area, it takes about 5~6 days.

Do you think that mail service is just running slow thanks to Easter holiday?

Parcel post generally takes longer than first class. My daughter sent me a box of birthday gifts in January that took almost 2 full weeks to get to me (it was sent parcel post). I was starting to get really worried when it arrived.

The holiday could very well have slowed it down - I don't know what the postal service's schedule was but I wouldn't be surprised. I'd give it a few more days before I panicked.

8. What USPS service did you use?

I sell items via the internet all the time, and I only use 2 services. USPS Priority Mail, and FedEx Ground.

Priority mail is just a few cents more than Parcel Post, but it's delivered within 3 days anywhere in the Zcontinental US, and 4 days to HI and AK.

When the package is over 7 or 8 pounds, I use FedEx Ground, which is much cheaper on heavier weight packages than PM.

DON'T GO TO THE UPS STORE! They are WAY too expensive. Go directly to a FedEx site if you choose that service.

A true story:
About 7 years ago, I was going to buy a mailing service franchise. I did a lot of investigating, and even went to their HQ. We got to explaining their pricing strategy on all the different services they offered. They took the UPS or FedEx pricing and TRIPLED IT to arrive at the price they charge the customer.

DOES THAT CONVINCE YOU NOT TO GO TO THE "MAILING STORE"?

BTW, I didn't buy the franchise because I couldn't make myself feel comfortable charging those prices and feeling like I was constantly cheating the customer!
