But even then, it still tends to lag when it gets long. So I can imagine how it is for the people with dial-up.

3. Seriously, I've forgotten how long dial-up took to load...
About two weeks ago I was at my sisters house and my brother-in-law's mother wanted to see some of those abandoned amusement park pics I took...It took almost a half an hour for all the pics to load...

Real frustrating...

6. You can always open the thread,
go into the kitchen and get a beer, read a book while you're drinking the beer, than go back to look at the thread.

That's what I used to do in the dialup days.
