2. Beautiful green chalk dragon at UCSD with German caption
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 10:17 PM by slackmaster
Something like "Ohne Sie bin ich verloren" - without you I am lost.

It was done in about 1968 when the building was new, in a maintenance tunnel. The people who worked there liked it so much the people who worked there sprayed clear acrylic over it to preserve it. I think it's still there.

Oh, and I own a small piece of the Berlin Wall with something painted on it.

3. The day before
my second Korn concert, a kid at school had dug the Korn logo into wet cement with his/her finger, right outside the cafeteria where I sat for lunch. At the time, I thought it was hilarious.

5. In high school
For late nights on the school newspaper, we were allowed to use the teacher's lounge's restroom (got the key from the instructor) because the rest of the school was locked up. Found a sign there that informed the teachers that they were to make sure the room was always locked when they left because students had evidently been getting in. Wrote on the sign: "Ha, ha! You can't prove we were here."

6. At 12 O'Clock on the DC Beltway,
there is a long descending slope on the outer loop when you drive directly towards the Mormon Temple, a huge sleek cathedral with spires like hypodermic needles.

As you approach it, you pass under a railroad trestle. For years, it used to say in huge letters: "SURRENDER DOROTHY".

10. most memorable are 2 i saw in denmark
one was a NO WAR on a little fountain-3 1/2 feet of an old woman holding a chicken-later while in a nearby restaurant, we watched as a drunk man yelled at it. not sure if he hated chickens, or agreed with the grafitti.
second was on a dumpster. in denmark they use an A with a little circle on it and the grafitti used that a, cause a regular a was just not right. i should have asked what it said.

11. "Don't pee in our pool and we won't swim in your toilet."
That one I will always remember. But, I can't remember where I first saw it. Maybe it was above a urinal in the men's room adjacent to an indoor swimming pool about 30 years ago?

13. Many many years ago, in my college days. . .
There was a mens room I frequented in the library. The stall against the wall was a good one for graffiti, as the wall itself was drywall; the staff just scrubbed it regularly and painted it occasionally. One day, I went in to find a large piece of brown wrapping paper taped to the wall, a caption at the top reading "THE GREEN LIGHT IS ON." It took about two weeks to completely fill up that paper, then it disappeared. I figure it wound up in some sort of psychology project.

15. The One That Always Makes Me Laugh
I saw years ago on a traffic sign that looks like this:

Someone (it seemed to me a drunken Hispanic at the time) had written on it with a Sharpie:

AY I SEE YOU MISS MOUSTACHE
