When serving your evening meal
what do you call it? Supper? or Dinner? I live alone, I just say I am hungry and fix something to eat!

9. When I was a kid
Supper was our family meal, if we had company it was dinner because dinner was served earlier in the day.

11. Depends on where I am....
When I'm in Indiana, it's supper, because my great-grandfather considers dinner to be lunch.

When I'm in Colorado, it's dinner or supper, because DH and I don't care and the terms are interchangeable.

When I'm in AZ with my father's family, it's dinner, because supper is what you eat late in the evening after a night at the theater or concert hall, and it's very, very light.
