1. This guy?

I dunno; seems like a good enough guy, but I think the religious right would slaughter him as the fact that he is a big and purple cartoon character makes him an obvious homosexual.

2. Yes! Why not Grimace?
Great "guyrl," actually. But yes you are right. If not gay definitely, transgendered. He looks like Tinky Winky.

3. Seems like a good choice
I haven't heard his stances on the issues, but I'm assuming he's probably pretty good... just 'cause there can't be too many transgendered FReepers out there, right? And maybe the religious right wouldn't be too much of a threat... I mean, he's loved by millions of children and everything!

7. I think s/he might be just the ticket...
Obviously very committed to uniting both the "red" and "blue" factions in an America that is truly "purple." So committed to moderate ("purple") solutions to the issues of red and blue America that s/he's purple both in and out!

There's some nice cheesy campaign talking points for Grimace to use. haha

Edited on Wed Mar-23-05 11:29 PM by last_texas_dem
1) An affectionate nickname for the substance formed when all the food on a McDonald's menu is mixed into a blender (s/he also resembles this substance in appearance), and

2) the facial expression one makes when observing this substance!

(And yes, I'm in a particularly stupid frame of mind tonight. :-))

35. They reformed him
The Hamburgalar, The Fry Guys, and Grimace were all thieves in the early days. Grimace was later changed to Ronalds best friend. The Fry Guys and oddity. But there was no reforming for the hamburgalar. His name doomed him to a life of crime.

33. Apparently, milkshakes were the McDonald's product
that Grimace used to "push." haha

In looking for Grimace images, I found this site, with an interesting rant speculating on what exactly Grimace is. http://www.branchfloridians.org/wdu67.html
It's about four-fifths of the way down the page. (There's also a funny anti-Ayn Rand rant about halfway down there.)

29. I see a Grimace family dynasty in the works
Edited on Wed Mar-23-05 11:43 PM by last_texas_dem
Maybe Uncle O'Grimacey should run first, and then Grimace can have his turn at the Oval Office. We need someone to challenge the Bush "dynasty", and I think Grimace would be great to go up against Jenna in a few years.

Weird, I missed out on Uncle O'Grimacey totally, but it's good to see Grimace has some family.

(Edited to fix misplaced quotation marks.)

41. Sure, he's got some baggage...
Questions of his sexual orientation and rumors of his being transgendered that the religious right will be all over, allegations of thievery in his past, questions of just how hard he did push those unhealthy milkshakes on innocent children, questions of what sort of substance he really is made of...

but what's more important is that he's got a real plan to bring "red" and "blue" America together, and I think we can all agree that a purple guy is just right for the job. I think we can do it if we just work together!
