Last night my 13-yr-old daughter found a lump. I phoned the doctor this morning and they are going to see her at 11. I just keep whispering to myself, "It's nothing. It's probably nothing. It's nothing."
If you have them to spare, please send some good thoughts her way.
My son is going through this right now. And I remember when I was young, I thought I had found a lump. Seems to me that teenagers are just lumpy creatures.
And most likely, the lump is nothing. I had something similar when I was 14, went through the whole mammogram thing (at 14!!! Scared the crap out of me), and it was nothing.
11. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers -- update
The doctor is sending her for a mammogram tomorrow. Since I've never had one myself, I called my doctor and she's scheduling me too. At least we can do it together, right?
