Thomas Haden Church to be Spider-Man 3’s nemesis

Thomas Haden Church (recently nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in Sideways) has been cast as Spider-Man’s new enemy in the next Spidey instalment. The news was announced by director Sam Raimi and producers Laura Ziskin and Marvel Studios’ Avi Arad.

The next Spider-Man film is scheduled for release on May 4, 2007. Production on the project is set to begin early next year.
