Stupid things people have told me
#1. A fundie woman I worked with long ago swore that there wasn't any wine in biblical days, it was grape juice, and didn't have alcohol in it.
Even after reading passage after passage in her bible of people being drunk on wine, nope it was grape juice.

#2.
My stepfather once told me that if I didn't fold a letter in just a certain way, it would make it weigh more and cost more to send wtf?
Even at six years old I knew that was bullshit.

1. Yeah, the "wine was grape juice" is a good one
I heard that lots of times too.

I'm pretty sure that this one was invented by the temperance movement to make Jesus into a teetotaler, which he never was.

As for me, I've yet to get drunk on Welch's.

4. In christian church when I was a child
someone once replaced the grape juice w/wine. I can still remember like it was yesterday the look on the preachers face when he drank it. The entire church acted like it was the equivalent of blasphemy,I asked my mom what the big deal was and she said something to the effect of ; people aren't supposed to drink, especially not kids. I never could reconcile the water to wine thing with the churches reaction. Looking back I guess this was my first experience with the pick and choose interpretation of the bible.

7. You know that, I know that
but apparently some people even after being hit over the head will deny being hit over the head.

8. Not only did Jesus drink but...
When Kings of Israel were annointed (like Asscroft did with Crisco...) this was done with hash oil. Yes THAT hash oil. The THC penetrated their bloodstream from their pores.

For an account of this, read about King David dancing naked during the party after his annointing. It's all there :)
