Foster greyhound no more!
In February we took in a foster Greyhound -- "ibuprofen" -- but we've been calling him Boo-boo

(he's on this site -- click on "adopt me" menu item http://reghr0.tripod.com/ )

last night we got a call from the rescue org. -- IBU goes to a forever home tonight!

we'll be packing up a "forever home" package for him complete with some food, treats, his coat and favorite toy

How about some good thoughts and wishes for him?

1. good for you and your BooBoo
I never saw a tan Greyhound before. He's a pretty guy and I got to know Greyhounds back when I worked at a kennel. They were wonderful calm pets. At least those two were, and I wouldn't have thought it either.

Shed a few tears and carry on. Another pup might need your help soon.

ohhhhhhhh - what a sweetie that one was -- black&white and all wiggly waggy tail -- her name was mint...

if you go to the same webpage and click on stories -- there's our story about our greyhound, Sunny (with a pic)

here's our sunny, aka sunny-bunny, when he whines he's called "Mogan David", when he sings we call him "Caruso"

7. nice story
Until I met those two Greyhounds at the kennel I would never have thought that breed could be for me. I just thought they would be hyper animals. Maybe one day. I have 4 doggies right now. Two that are over the age of ten but my Corgi's are still young. I might like to adopt a Greyhound one day.

3. Sweeeeet!
Great news to start my day. Thanks for being an obviously great foster family for this guy. I've said this before, and I'll beat it to death, foster homes are the backbone of a good rescue organization.

He sounds wonderful and gets along with cats, too! I'm sure he will do fine in his forever home.

6. Aww...
Greyhounds are such big love sponges. Especially the way they lean against you when you are petting them. Great animals.

11. Boo-boo
That's wonderful news. As I will tell my little girl when she gets a bit older - an angel gets its halo everytime a greyhound goes to its forever home. Thanks for helping with fostering - as proud mom to two greys, it's people like you who make it possible. I wish we could have more, but we've got 3 other dogs, adoptees as well, so it will be a bit before we can "chip", as the saying goes (once you have one greyhound, you want another).

12. know about "chipping"
the sweetie, Mint, we fostered last october is up for adoption again -- her family is getting a divorce and neither of them can find a place that allows dogs

unfortunately, they also have another greyhound and want them both adopted together...

we considered pressing the issue and just get mint -- but our house is filled with our own greyhound, our airdale and 4 cats...

My parents used to have greyhounds and they are the most loving, sweetest dogs i have ever encountered. I hope everyting turns out great for him.
