What's your favorite month of the year?
We've done favorite season polls, but I don't remember a favorite month poll in a while, if ever. I couldn't use the poll option, since there are 12 months and only 10 options in a poll.

I am a big Christmas fan, so December is my favorite. The month has both Christmas and football!

32. Another October fan here!
Best weather (crisp and cool but not bitterly cold yet). Leaf colors. Irrefutable proof that the season I hate the most (summer) is utterly OVER. And it ends with my favorite holiday.

47. Here's to October!
Perfect weather. Perfect colors in the leaves. My birthday. My favorite holiday (HALLOWEEN!). The last bit of enjoyment of Daylight-Saving Time each year. Perfect time to travel -- both in America and Europe. Don't miss the leaves turning in the French countryside in October -- in the vineyards and elsewhere! Or the ride to Carter's Grove Plantation near Colonial Williamsburg around the third week of October. GORGEOUS!

57. Wow, I clicked on this post ready to say OCTOBER!!!
And it was the first response in the thread. I hate the summer heat and the winter snow. I love it when the heat finally is gone, when the leaves turn red and brown, and the smell of wood chimneys permeates the air. I love the cozy melancholic feeling of autumn that comes over me in October.

60. Sorry to be boring
But me too! I got married in October because I love it! I love it because:
1) The weather's perfect - crisp and luscious like a glass of champagne
2) A great time to travel
3) The colors are fantastic
4) The heat is gone and the snow is distant enough not to worry
5) Even I don't have to start Christmas shopping yet ;-)
6) And the one holiday in the month doesn't require cooking a huge meal for hordes of people, cleaning the house, or trying to schedule around everyone's vacations at work

Also the warmest month, the balmy days of summer.

29. November is best and October is the worst.
The fire season in socal takes place in socal, and some days it can be ungodly hot in the valleys. November is best since the fire season usually ends, plus I was born on the 17th (and no I am not a Greek terrorist just because I was born on November 17th http://cfrterrorism.org/groups/rps.html )
