His mother still sends me birthday cards though. Twelve years after the breakup. I think she likes me better than him.

I did keep a couple of things from the break-up. His dad ran a Chinese restaurant and had some really great recipes his father had brought over from China. His dad had translated them for his kitchen staff and his mom gave us a copy. Mmm-MMM! THAT'S good eating!
