That's the story of Jesus!

(Since we're posting Easter themed threads.)

2. Sure do
Good stuff. Damn shame he had to die. I'd love to hear what he'd have to say about the world now.

3. You know he'd be having a stroke on stage.
He'd also make a nice piece of "dark poetry" out of some part of it.

4. An idol of mine.
I love his work. I commented on the 2000 election results regarding him. "Bill Hicks' coffin is nothing but toothpicks, he's spinning in his grave so hard."

8. Yes, It does.
It's a line from Hick's comedy act. He love pointing out the irony in our society in absurd ways.

10. My favorite bit of his...
He speaks of Americans being distracted from the real world (society, politics) by television.

He does this loudspeaker voice in the mic:

"Here's American Gladiators, watch this, shut up, go back to bed America. Here is American Gladiators, here is 56 channels of it, watch these pituitary retards bang their fucking skulls together and congratulate you on the living in the land of freedom. Here you go America - you are free - to do as well tell you. You are free to do as we tell you. "

He died of cancer in 1994 but his humor is SO timely.
