I was just watching last weeks 60 minutes on Tivo and it's really odd to me.

He hasn't met someone he wants to be serious with. I'm guessing from your post that you're quite young. By the time someone gets to Lucas age, he's been laid plenty of times. He's not a 19 year old looking for easy sex. He's a father with young children that wants someone who is right for his life.

Obviously he would have no trouble finding endless numbers of starlets to date and screw if that's all he wanted. I presume he wants something more substantive, with someone who interests him, someone who can be a good mother to his children. He said he hasn't found that person yet. His situation is hardly unique. Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it. It's his life.

He seems to have screwed up previous relationships, so wants to wait until he finds the right person. And he does have three adopted children he's raising, though they aren't that young, but it seemed like this was his first priority, certainly not a bad thing. Despite his wealth, he's older and not exactly Cary Grant, so it may take him awhile, since he also carries a lot of baggage.:shrug:

You can have FTF relationships that you keep hidden from your children and everyone else, if sex is what concerns you. Otherwise, most parents are looking for someone who can blend in with their families. They want someone who will not only accept their children but will be a positive influence on them.
Sex is always an option. It can be had quietly and discreetly, if both of the parties involved are adult about it. But a true partner in life is almost impossible to find. You really have to look for a soulmate. And few people want someone who is anything less.

A wonderful life, with many advantages, not available to many single parents. I can't see how he can be criticized for this. He could easily afford many more, but these are his kids. And all single parents do the best that they can. This man just has more resources than most. But that doesn't mean that children of single parents cannot thrive if they are raised with love and support. I don't know what board you have been reading, but this is what I believe.:shrug:
