6. age 23 the first time, after I graduated from college and had no idea ...
what I wanted to do with my life.

The second time was at 37. I'd lived abroad for 12 years, came home, and had no idea what I wanted to do with my life.

7. Never moved back
Left for college, and each stay lasted less. My last summer home was when I was 20.

After that, I stayed near college.

There came one visit a year or two later when I took my parents up on the offer to stay in one of the spare bedrooms. It was such a disaster, that thereafter, I chose to stay in nearby motel rooms.

Frankly, my 'adopted' families were always far more pleasant to stay with than my own 'by blood' family ever was.

8. I still haven't left!
I figure the longer I stay, the less chance I'll end up moving back in later.

11. I moved out at 17
and had to move back home at 21. I was in a bad wreck and couldn't take care of myself. Thank god for my parents, I was home a whole year. My work place held my job for me. Of course they wont do that any more. They sent out a memo on that a few years back.

15. I was 23
Wanted to save some money and pay off some bills, so I moved back in with Mom in March 1986. Right after doing so I was not only laid off, but learned that she had terminal colon cancer. I was able to get another job in May 1986, and I'm happy that I was there with Mom during her illness. After her death in January 1987 I stayed in the house a couple of months, then moved back to Wichita.
