Red State, Blue State, Police State

Did you know they worshipped the Lord in the blue states?
A woman cheated on her husband in the red states.
A man fought for his country in the blue states,
I think a met a draft-dodger in the red states.

The protested the war in the red states,
My brother married his wife in the blue states
They have abortions in the red states,
Blue state. Red state. Live state. Dead state.

Do they not commit adultery in the red states?
If they do is because they’re from the blue states?
Blue staters do it, so do the red
If you kill a man in the blue states he’s just as dead.

You know they do have stable in the blue states.
I’ve never had a latte
Do they like the feds in the libraries in the red states?
Do they really want us to lose in the blue states?

I praise God openly every day in my blue state
They watch Queer Eye in the red states
Do they really like tax cuts for the rich in the red states?
Do they really fear Christians in the blue states?

Most Christians aren’t bigots at all,
Most on the Left don’t want the nation to fall
Most on the Right, don’t want to country to fall
The Christian Left and the sceular right
The Christian Right and the scular Left
I’ve seen both, I’ve met them all

Are we really godless villains in the blue states?
Are they all perfect saints in the red states?
I see I whole lot of purple here, perhaps its common ground they fear,
They, those who fed on division, and strife
They divide and conquer, and then they wrote it in the logs,
They killed the country, it was them,
That self-serving band of ideologues

One nation, under God, with liberty and justive for all..
For all..
