my late great Atlas kitty....presenting the Big A
I just got to have him for 9 years but he was the bestest cat (but don't tell my current crop, it would make them sad)

1. He looked like a sweet boy
I'm sorry for your loss. Did you adopt him as an older cat?

4. lucky me, got him as a little guy, He basically moved in to my
house without permission, very determined to live with me.

He definitely chose us!!!!!!

Thank you..We lost him a long time ago, and I still miss him.

2. It's one of nature's cruelest jokes that our fur friends don't....
...live as long as we do.

Atlas looks like a wonderful friend.

Losing Mariko in October after almost 18 years still makes me sad. She was so very sweet.

3. what a handsome devil
Hearing about people losing their beloved pets always makes me sad. I remember how sad I was when I lost my lil' buddy, a cat named Neko that I had since I was a little kid. He was the nicest, sweetest cat and a kid couldn't find a better pet. I was so lucky to have him growing up. When he was 16 he had a stroke, and after that was very ill. I remember he slept in my room every night in the months before he died. I was sooooo sad.

5. What a beauty!
The couch picture made me laugh out loud - how cute.

I always think of the ones I've lost too. It's part of the bargain you make when you take them into your life - the time will be short but sweet.

When I picked Dante up (my latest dog) I looked him in the face and said, "Some day you're going to break my heart." We probably got him too soon after the last one died and that was still so fresh in my mind. I wouldn't trade a day I've had w/ any of them though.
