Hey Kirk Cameron. This song is for you.
Living easy, living free
Season ticket on a one-way ride
Asking nothing, leave me be
Taking everything in my stride
Don't need reason, don't need rhyme
Ain't nothing I would rather do
Going down, party time
My friends are gonna be there too

I'm on the highway to hell

No stop signs, speed limit
Nobody's gonna slow me down
Like a wheel, gonna spin it
Nobody's gonna mess me round
Hey Satan, payed my dues
Playing in a rocking band
Hey Momma, look at me
I'm on my way to the promised land

I'm on the highway to hell
(Don't stop me)

And I'm going down, all the way down
I'm on the highway to hell

Ain't that right Kirk? We're all on the highway to hell. Maybe I'll buy you that album.

20. It usually sucks every other night of the week.
But tornado season is upon us-I love working during the nasty weather (cuz I can sound the loud sirens all across the area).

22. Police department.
I get to turn on alarms and cut into the cable system. I just have to click on an icon and enter the code. That's it-and then everyone goes into a panic.

24. I can run backgrounds on almost everyone
(except *-then I will be investigated for it). Otherwise, I get to play w/ sirens, run drivers licenses, criminal histories, etc.
It's a great job if you are a really nosy person.

27. But my info that I can get is better than your brothers.
Mine is from NCIC-that links all the states together (except for 11-they are behind) for all of the driver licenses and criminal histories. Plus, we constantly receive updates from departments all over the US (like for a stop and hold page, etc), severe weather info usually before they broadcast it. I can also make requests through the FBI (which is where most of the criminal histories are located) and through Interpol (have only used them a couple of times).
But the first thing that they teach you is to never run the president's name or the Secret Service will come to investigate. Not cool.

31. It is cool.
I like it. And most of the people that I work with barely graduated from high school. It's mostly on the job training in the smaller departments. Once you find a larger department the pay isn't too bad. Plus, depending on what kind of department you work for, you might be a city, county or state employee-usually better benefits the higher up you go (but not always).
Then, of course, when you get to know your officers, they tend to let you get away w/ going 90 in a 40.

Do you really want to go the speed limit through a town the population of 75 people and looks like it came out of Deliverance?

I always do that-explain that I am by no means a cop. Let's just say this-when I went to my ten year reunion and told people what I did for a living, they thought that I was joking.
