'Prozacnation' is fostering one. She was dropped off at the Shelter w/ no name. She needs one, and we have yet to find a good one.... Suggestions....

68. Cute, I'll give you that
But cats are rarely aware that their name doesn't fit their gender.

I had a cat named Roxanne. I kept the name even when I figured out he was a boy. He didn't know he had a girl's name and I didn't tell him.

Khash.

65. Well,
We all know who Cyclops was, or is, or whatever. Or will be. Or was a character. I saw him in the movies and he was really tough. And why was he so tough?

Well, first, he was a giant. Okay, okay, I know that sweet little kitty is not a giant, size-wise. But here she is. Alive. With one eye. She has no depth perception.

She has got to be tough, just like the big man. She has got to think of herself as a giant, to survive. She has got to develop her other senses to compensate for the loss of an eye.

She can't be trusting of all other animals (maybe some), who will probably trick her by sneaking up outside of her peripheral vision.

Let her think of herself as a giant that rules the world, somewhat scorning it, and asserting herself as if she is the Cyclops. She needs that kind of attitude, perhaps, to survive.

The "ita" part is just a Spanish language thing because she is smaller than the actual Cyclops.

Give her this one chance. Bestow upon her this namesake.

And she will truly be a wonderful cat.

Thanks,

Floog
