The kitchen elves have failed to come to my house and do the dishes. It looks like I'm going to have to either do them, or eat nothing but take-out.

Stupid kitchen with one sink. I HATE doing dishes in this place.

We had 3 guys living in the same house we used to do dishes by taking them into the back yard and spraying them with the garden hose.If the dirt didn't come off we would throw them away.We were depraved. :crazy:

7. I absolutly HATE doing dishes

I try everything to get around it. Rinse and let sit in the sink. Fill the sink with soapy water and hope they will come clean. Rinse and re-arrange. I spend more energy avoiding dishes than doing them would take.

I finally started getting better about doing them when I found mold on dishes left in the sink.

I think you can get by with take out for a little longer....

I have lots of mugs, but I rarely use them.

I've always found that the best thing to do with a sink full of dirty dishes is throw them in the trash. Works pretty good for dirty clothes too.

You don't need an intervention, just a bigger trash can.

What's it like? Parts of Iowa are very picturesque, especially in the northeast part of the state. No, I don't have a Field of Dreams, but my parents still have a small farm, and I grew up not too far from that movie site.

Rain forests too? Cool. What a lot of people see of Iowa is what they might see from most of the interstates running through here. Miles and miles of corn and soybean fields. To see this state you have to get off the beaten path.

Desert too? In Canada? Most people wouldn't believe that at all. Sounds so nice.

I always get the question, "why don't you use paper plates and plasticware" when I bitch about the dishes. But it's not just actual "dishes"==it's pots, pans, bowls, utensils, storage containers, and almost everything BUT dishes and plasticware!
