The whole campus is sick! I need some advice
Everyone has this horrible cold, and I even had a fever of 100 last night. Sore throat, runny nose, the works. It's bad timing, cause midterms start next week.

Any recommendations other than lots of sleep?

1. Rest and visit your campus clinic.

2. Vitamins, especially C and zinc, and lots of spicy food
to get the mucus flowing. I swear by a red pepper-lemon grass-tomato-pineapple-based soup prepared by a local Vietnamese restaurant.

5. ooh spicy food is a tasty idea
Capsacin (sp?), the thing that makes things spicy, is also a natural antibiotic.

3. Gatorade, and lots of it.
And when you're ready to go to sleep, an 8-ounce glass of half vodka, and half orange juice. The vodka will knock you out so you can rest, and the OJ provides vitamin C.

needed. Start taking them as soon as you feel symptoms. Good luck on those exams and be sure to sleep well the night before.

6. garlic
If you eat a couple of cloves of raw garlic, you WILL start getting better, but it doesn't do wonderful things for your popularity.

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

7. It's not a cold, it's the flu. You can take all sorts of meds and it will
be all better in 2 weeks, or you can take as much relief type medication, such as symptom specific robitussen and you will be all better in 14 days.

Be prepared to be totally laid up for 4 days, then you will still be coughing for another 10 days.

11. Stay Hydrated, Rest & Don't Expect
quick results, what ever this shit is, it lingers, goes and comes back. I'm hoping some warm weather will bring some relief.

Take vitamins, get your immune system back up to speed.
