My Cat Is Not A Democrat
I would have thought him to be an independent, and it is possible that with age and maturity, he may become one. For the time being, however, he is a Republican.

Witness the following:

1) He does not believe in sharing, whether it be food, toys or nose kisses.

2) In order to get my attention, and therefore get what he wants, he attacks my legs as I am walking by. He never even gives me a chance to defend myself. He hides and jumps out at the last possible second.

3) If he does not get his specifically favorite brand of food, he declares war on anything and everything until his desires are satisfied.

4) He at times pretends to be friendly in order to get what he wants, but if rebuffed, resorts to the attack method of gratification.

Do you have a pet with a differing political viewpoint than your own?

1. Now that is what I call entertainment
I once had a pet weasel that resembled Karl Rove.

2. LOL
This has to be the funniest post I've read in a long time.

AUGH! My cats are Republicans too! At least they're all neutered, so they can't reproduce!

18. MY POODLE IS DEFINITELY A DEMOCRAT!!!
Though the cat (she's siamese) is unfortunately a Republican...don't worry, there is still hope for her, she's in love with the dog...but, being the democrat that he is, he likes people :)

23. c'mon
Siamese will never say which party they belong to. They are all Band Wagon Bettys. My Izzy told me she voted for Arnold when I knew for sure that she really cast her vote for Arianna.

5. My Cat Isn't Either
But then again, I've never caught her stealing money or forgeing checks to buy Halliburton stock either.

My brother is a different story....

6. He needs a bit of cultivating...
Try engaging him with interactive play. You've gotta sit there with him as he chases a string, feather, whatever commands his attention. When he pounces, praise him verbally, stroke his noggin, or maybe give him a tidbit of some treat he likes. Do this at least twice a day -- it will break any stress he might be experiencing, let him work off some of his excess energy, and will bond him to you in a new way.

I have seen this interactive-play "therapy" work near-miracles with stubborn kitties. One caution: If he likes the sessions, he'll pester you like crazy for more!

Good luck -- :toast:

8. Bush does...
Most dogs are far leftists. They can smell really well. They can certainly smell quagmires, which Bush and the PNAC crowd seem to be unable fo doing.

14. What Do Ferrets Know?
They assume someone else is going to pay for their habits so they can continue playing to their heart's content.

Fun to watch, not so fun to clean up after and horrifying to learn one runs our country now.

16. Hey now!
My ferrets are the sweetest, most fun, loving and adorable pets I have ever owned. If it isn't fun, they don't do it-that is their life philosophy. I like that about them, they are so carefree. Sure they like to be a little mischievious, but they never use their ferret abilities for evil.

P.S. you are right about the poop, however. That is one of the major drawbacks of ferret ownership.

19. I Know And Love Ferrets
And they are a "little" evil and a lot curious and playful as pets go, but they never think ahead nor as sneaky as a Cat looking to cover up their latest mistake or as Dog that dosen't have the first clue of how to go about it.

Am I wrong?

22. Okay okay, you're right.
They act first and think later (or not at all). My Akira will climb to the top of their six foot ferret kingdom and then he doesn't know how to get down. And yeah, they are a tad evil. Tetsuo likes to take the insoles out of my shoes and hide my husband's wallet under the bed. If something goes missing, it is probably in their hidey-hole.

11. My dog is a Democrat
He is loyal, he is kind, he is charitable, even to the point of letting the cat eat his food and then use him as a floor pillow for his (the cat's) nap. :)

13. Mine are both loving, tolerant, and forgiving
Odd cats, I know. I think they would be Democrats. The mama does not tolerate strange cats in her yard, though. She barely tolerates her own daughter.

20. All Cats Are Independant
Tied only to a clean, unlimited food and water supply wanting a odorless and un-lumpy litter box.

Hence, all cats are "Greens."

24. My cats are both Democrats.
They're often under the influence of catnip and feel it should be legalised.

They have no problem with receiving their meals and education through public assistance (That would include a wide variety of handouts and the open community of garbage cans in the back alley).

They are generous to a fault, sharing head butts, purrs, snuggles, fur balls, pine cones, the beloved orange fuzzy, highly prized dead mice and the odd pork chop.

They are willing to pay taxes in the form of keeping me loved, warm and dry for the betterment of our community.

Yes - I figure my three cats are:

1) welfare cheat
2) smug northeastern moderate Republican
3) talk radio type

Cat no. 1 begs for food 5 seconds after I have opened a fresh, delicious can and dumped it in his bowl. Picky, picky. The Queen's Victuals would not be good enough for this elevated individual of the domestic feline species....

Cat no. 2, who weighs 17 lbs., and I get along pretty well on a social level. He'd never save my life in a tornado or other calamity, though.

Cat no. 3 is at constant war against the small, gray, meek, squeaking-in-fright mouse & vole population of this plot of ground. But cat no. 3 :loveya:s me....

Myself is a FDRooseveltian Dem. Building things is good... (none of these cats ever built anything, much less created any infrastructure).
