Ever use "hide thread" for an annoying thread that doesn't go away
Not to ignore any particular DUer, but to hide a thread that for whatever reason, annoys you.

8. Personally, I've Never Seen the Need
If threads on some currently-hot topic are springing up like mushrooms after a rainstorm, I can usually spot them by the title and refrain from clicking on them. Sometimes I'm tricked by an innocuous title like, 'Can you believe this?', but when I find out it's just another thread devoted to the topic du jour, I just move on. No harm, no foul.
