1. Seattle has been heavenly - and my hammock is out!
Got the hammock out last weekend and it's been a joy.

Wonderful weather, more daylight and all the flowering cherries in bloom.

2. It hit 70 in Seattle 2 days ago...
and we're still in the upper 60's for the next few days. No rain for such a long time, drought predicted for the summer. It seems we have switched weather with most of California.

4. I've been walking through Freeway Park every day for 2 weeks now
to get to work. And it's my favorite part of the day, it's so beautiful.

5. Yes. it's mighty pleasant, but nothing to celebrate about.
We NEED SNOW to survive. So do the fish and farmers. Anybody try to go skiing or boarding in the Cascades this year? I am afraid we are in for a long, dry summer. Trees surround my cabin and I am frankly scared. as are many of my friends. But, dayumm, it is nice to walk outside in a t-shirt and not have to haul stovewood inside.

7. And stay away.
At least until later in the summer when you're having a drought and it's raining here so WE can have a chance to gloat.

(PS: Don't tell anybody I asked this, but can I come out there for a visit, please? I just got a brand-new convertible top put on my car, and haven't had a chance to put it down yet.)

9. C'mon up.
Drive up the Mt. Baker Highway, you will love it. Make sure you honk on the way past my place.
