But only barely! I swear this has been a week from HELL!!!! I just got home from work and the gym and am splurging on TWO pieces of cake. Now you all can tell me that I am being counter productive and that this is bad for me...but damnit, I deserve it after the week I have had so far!

Anyone else have horror stories from their week?

I too have had a reasonably crappy series of days over the past week. So I can sympathize.

3. Well...

Well, here was my yesterday:
1. Was treated rudely by a co-worker who is supposed to be my peer (I mean VERY RUDELY)
2. Was stuck in a series of 6 meetings all day
3. Got an email from my bosses boss saying she feels slighted that I sent out an email saying that my boss is leaving cuz supposedly it is her job
4. didn't get any actual work done
5. found out that my new immediate supervisor is going to be an internal person that I don't really care for
6. had a team member go talk "behind my back" to another team member right after incident #1 took place
7. Had a sucky workout at the gym
8. didn't get anything done that I need to (laundry, dishes, etc)
9. Got an unexpected $120 doctor bill
10. Got 2 overdraft charges for $34 each
11. I have a headache.

And here is my today:
1. Confronted rude co-worker from yesterday
2. Was stuck in meetings half the day
3. Had to deal with situation where former bosses boss felt slighted and it turned into an HR issue
4. Had to say goodbye to my former boss, mentor and friend
5. Didn't accomplish ANY work I had to do, but gained another three pages of to-dos (and I have a retreat tomorrow so won't get anything done)
6. Went to the gym and smiled at my gym crush only to have him turn away
7. Ate two pieces of cake
8. Found out I have to pay $400 for the crown I am getting
9. I have a headache...


Now THAT is just the last two days! Is it Friday yet?

I just had a bad review that sent my feelings of self-worth plummeting. My first bad annual review in my entire life (and also my first with my new boss).

8. Pressuring myself to do more at work, I nearly

* tripped which would have meant a trip back to hospital for repeating a surgery I now know has potentially serious and fatal compliations

* nearly had a nervous breakdown on three occasions, one w/ a co-worker who I know dislikes me

* seem to be remembering more and more memories from my past. At least most of them aren't the most horrific... but a time that has gone and will never return... and a future that is lost.

27. My horror story comes from last week, and a little bit

from the week before. My erstwhile boss wrote me up the week before last, due to my BIG mouth talking about politics in front of customers and co-workers. I was STUPID in the extreme, and of course, that makes it feel much better, lol. And then my "boss" went on in the write-up to include some other sins of mine. The load was horrific. I accept responsibility for my misdeeds, BUT she had not communicated most of this to me before writing me up. So, what to do? Luckily, I move around between places (the business has several offices) so I can avoid this particular place. I don't plan to return to that office. They can send me elsewhere, and they will...Or else I will quit, or something. It's been awful.
