Here's one to get you started. Satan-metal band Gorgoroth, hailing out of Norway or Sweden or somewhere up there, took its name from a region of land in Mordor, located within J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth.

All their stories of sheep abuse aside, how dark and nefarious can you really be if you take your name out of The Lord of the Rings?!? I mean, seriously.
