Poll question: Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band: Album vs. Movie
I'll give the Beatles some credit for at least trying. Both were fair efforts.

I have to give the movie the nod because at least it had Elton John in those giant boots and big glasses. I don't think Elton was in the album, though.

1. Er, Sir Reg no be in dat movie.
That would be the Bee Gees. And Peter Frampton. I should know because I was one of 250 people still alive that actually saw this piece of dinosaur shit in the theater.

14. At least the movie was funny.
The record is just sad.

The same band that waxed "Ticket to Ride" and "I'm Down," and would later go on to record "Everybody's Got Something to Hide (Except Me and My Monkey)" ALSO made "When I'm 64?" And "Lovely Rita?"

That's just fuckin' wrong.

28. 'Lovely Rita' is a work of genius...
...compared to 'Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite'. They both suck - but with vastly different degrees of suckatude.

Even if you aren't a fan of the album, the movie of it should have gotten better treatment than THIS product of a bad acid flashback.

18. Forgot about that
He was even better than Elton John. Although I would grant that the Beatles had more musical talent than George Burns. But far short of Elton John.

That movie sucked big ones. At least the villains (including Alice Cooper and Aerosmith) were entertaining.

23. I LOVE the movie - it's so fricking cheesy it's amazing!!
Especially when you see the likes of George Burns & Donald Pleasance trying to "sing" if that's what you call it.

But the best of it is the end when they do their own version of the Sgt. Pepper Album Cover - Check this list of who they had singing the finale. Kudos to having Carol Channing and Tina Turner singing side by side.

....that killed Strawberry fields. Strawberry was later revived by Billy Preston who was the Happiness Sgt Pepper Weather Vane that came back to life and undid all the bad that happened to Heartland

Edit note: It was Alice Cooper who was Father Sun that almost killed Billy Shears.

36. Half of those people weren't actors to begin with
In fact one of the reasons that George Burns narated the entire movie with the rest of the cast just singing was because there were so many non-actors who couldn't act in the movie.

Best to just let Peter Frampton & the BeeGees sing
